Russian Federation
The
Russian Federation is 1.8 times the area of the US and occupies most of
eastern Europe and north Asia. It stretches from the Baltic Sea in the
west to the Pacific Ocean in the east and from the Arctic Ocean in the
north to the Black Sea and the Caucasus, the Altai, and Sayan Mountains,
and the Amur and Ussuri Rivers in the south. It is bordered by Norway
and Finland in the northwest, Estonia, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland,
and Lithuania in the west, Georgia and Azerbaijan in the southwest, and
Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China, and North Korea along the southern
border.

Moscow, the currency is the Ruble and language is Russian

The climate ranges from
steppes in the south through humid continental in much of European Russia;
subarctic in Siberia to tundra climate in the polar north; winters vary
from cool along Black Sea coast to frigid in Siberia; summers vary from
warm in the steppes to cool along Arctic coast. At 60° N, 100° E.
The terrain is broad
plain with low hills west of Urals; vast coniferous forest and tundra in
Siberia; uplands and mountains along southern border regions. |
