VEGETABLE AND FRUIT STORAGE GUIDELINES

High Moisture - bag and refrigerate: 
Asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, corn, green onions, 
mushrooms, peas

Moderate Moisture - bag and refrigerate:
Beans, celery, cucumber, greens, herbs, lettuce

Low Moisture - bag and refrigerate:
Beets, cabbage, carrots, turnips

Fruit - bag and refrigerate:
Berries, citrus, grapes

Ripen at room temperature, then bag and refrigerate:
Apples, apricots, avocado, bananas, kiwi, mangoes, melons, peaches, pears, pineapple, plums

Store in a cool dry location:
Garlic, ginger root, onions, potatoes, shallots, tomatoes
