TERIYAKI WHITE SAND SQUID
Mix ¼ c each of sake and mirin with 1/3 c soy, 2 T sugar, ¼ t grated ginger, ½ clove of garlic, and 1 T vegetable or peanut oil. Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Let cool. Marinate cleaned, scored squid tubes for 2-3 hours. Broil for 4-5 minutes, turn and cook an additional 3 minutes. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds. Heat remaining marinade and use as dipping sauce. |
